Fall Festival

The weather could not have been more beautiful for the Annual Vershire Fall Festival and also for the Library's annual fall book sale and local author talk on October 8.

Smoke from the soup fire drifted lazily into the air as people enjoyed fantastic soup and bread, and dogs and burgers prepared by the Vershire Fire and Rescue. The day had a carnival feel as Sam Moffatt and Kerry DeWolfe provided accordion and hammered dulcimer music, the perfect backdrop to kids games, conversation and visiting. Aaron Hoopes won the fall centerpiece contest, and Susan Marsha walked away with first place in the apple pie contest.

Many thanks to everyone who made the day such a success, and thanks to everyone who came! We'll see you next year!
