Community Soup Night

Soup and Pizza is back!
Starting with the April 21 Soup Night, we'll be back at the Town Center with oven-fired pizza to go along with delicious soups salads and desserts.  Still from 5:30 to 6:30.  See you there.

VerShare hosts Community Soup Nights at the Church-Orr House on the third Thursday of every month, from 5:30 - 6:30.  The fare includes a variety of soups, with a lot of locally grown ingredients, salad, bread and dessert. All of this is made by local volunteers.  Everyone is invited.  There is no charge for the meal, but donations are accepted.  All donations above any cost of soup ingredients are donated to local food shelves.

After the completion of the new bread oven at the Town Center in May, 2010, Community Soup Night moved to the Town Center for the warm weather months and became Soup and Pizza Night.  Something to look forward to later this year.

In addition to the eat-in option, meals of soup, salad, bread and dessert are available for pick-up, or delivery.  Barb Parker and Arlen Schrock drive the delivery route every soup night.

Cheryl Howe is the organizer of soup night, assisted by Carol Suich.  If you would like to find out more about delivery, or if you would like to volunteer, drop us an email.
