New Online Reference Service

The Vershire Community Library has recently subscribed to the Cengage Learning Gale Databases.  This is an extremely rich reference capability for students or researches to do in depth searches of newspapers, reference books, magazines, trade publications, computer-related product introductions, news and reviews, a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research and much more.  This service is FREE for patrons of our library.  To access this reference source, you will need a special password.  Please stop in to the library or send an email to the librarian if you are interested.

Library Volunteers

The library is powered totally by volunteer staff.  No public money is spent on maintaining the library.  It relies on our twice a year book sales to cover its minimal costs, including a share of operating the Church-Orr House, and volunteer staff to keep it open.  We always welcome people who might like to volunteer once a week, or once or month, or perhaps to be on call as a substitute volunteer.  Whatever you could do would be appreciated.  For more information, e-mail library@vershare.org, and thanks.
