VerShare Community Camp 2010

The dates are now set for this year's Summer Camp - July 19-30.  Application forms for Counselors, Counselors in Training, and Environmental Educators will be posted within a few weeks.

VerShare Community Camp 2009

In 2009, VerShare presented its 11th consecutive free summer camp for local children.  Because of everything going on in the economy, we experienced significant decreases in the funding support we have traditionally received from foundations.  However, other sources appeared, we were able to make some cuts in expenses, and camp went on.

In fact, both the quality of the programs and our numbers were higher than ever. Over 100 campers (ages 5 – 13) were enrolled. When the counselors, counselors-in-training and “grasshoppers” (children of workshop leaders who are too young for camp) are added in, over 150 local young people enjoyed the benefits of camp this summer.

For a "camper's eye" view of camp, see the online Camp Chronicle

Such a huge endeavor is successful only because we have so much support from so many people.  We thank you all!!!
